ABOUT US
Barons Lodge is situated in a quiet residential area of Mitcham with easy access to tram, trains, buses. There are 34 service users with mostly ensuite rooms and ample living areas. Residents can enjoy the comfort of large bedrooms with facilities, spacious lounges, a dining area and an enclosed garden. The home is within easy reach of local facilities and has excellent transport links to London with a short distance to the train and bus stops.
Environment
Barons Lodge is fully staffed round the clock. All external doors are fitted with electronic keypads to ensure everyone is safe within the home. There is a nurse’s bell system fitted to all rooms allowing residents to call for staff whenever they need assistance. The corridors are fitted with grab rails to assist residents and unimpeded wheelchair access along with infection control flooring and lift access to all floors. Dependency tools are used to ensure staffing levels are more than required.
Fees and Funding
We accept referrals from all sectors. We welcome viewings and a member of the team will be happy to show you around the home and answer any questions. Pre-admission assessment will be completed to ensure the correct care is provided and to allow a good handover and person-centred care plans to be in place prior to admission. We accept funding from local authorities and private funding.
Food and Drink
Enjoying food is important at Barons Lodge and we take pride in home cooked food and can cater for all dietary needs to provide a balanced diet for everyone. Residents take part in planning the menu for the home including their likes and dislikes. Residents are offered choices for every meal and we are able to cater for those last-minute mind changes. There are drinks available for residents to help themselves and have a range of snacks are available in between meals. We have a choice of places for dinning and try to make meals a social and relaxing time. Our dining room is bright and spacious with comfortable chairs. Birthdays and special occasions are celebrated, along with our theme days. Friends and family are invited to join them.
